Men's Soccer Celebrates Senior Day in Showdown Against Argonauts

LIVINGSTON, Ala. - West Alabama will host the University of West Florida for Senior Day on Friday at 7:30 p.m., honoring its veteran players in their final home game of the season.

The Tigers (5-6-3, 3-5-2) face a tough opponent in the Argonauts (7-1-4, 5-0-4), who remain undefeated in conference play.

West Florida brings an aggressive offense, scoring 31 goals this season with standout forward Keegan Ancelin leading the team at 11 goals. Ancelin has also proven consistent, maintaining a high shot-on-goal percentage of 50%. In addition, Mar Aegisson and Jaime Guillén have combined for nine goals and four assists, adding depth to the Argos' attack.

West Alabama, on the other hand, has scored 18 goals, with leading scorer David Nunez netting six and contributing four assists. Nunez's ability to create opportunities will be key as he pairs with Michael Bell, who has registered five assists this season. Defensively, the Tigers' goalkeepers, including senior Garrett Wise, will look to hold off a high-scoring West Florida team. Wise has contributed consistent minutes over his career, posting a .731 save percentage. As well as Timon Dressel, who's posted a .747 save percentage this year, with 62 total saves.

West Alabama men's soccer team will honor its seniors on Senior Day when they face West Florida. Seniors Garrett Wise, Killian Griffin, Ellis Williamson, Oneal David, Michael Bell, Jonathan Harris, Niyo Claude, Robert Leano, Logan Stone, and Shea Tillette have been valuable contributors to the Tigers' program. Wise, primarily a goalkeeper, has made significant contributions defensively over his career. Griffin and Williamson have shown versatility and resilience on the field, while Bell and David have provided stability and leadership across multiple seasons. Each senior's dedication and hard work have helped shape the Tigers' roster, setting a strong foundation for future UWA teams.

The Tigers will need to control possession and limit West Florida's attempts to stay competitive. With the first kick scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at UWA's Soccer & Track Complex.
