MOBILE, Ala. – The University of West Alabama baseball team dropped a 12-0 decision to Spring Hill College in a midweek contest, Tuesday afternoon from Sims-Galle Field.
SHC improves to 9-6 on the year, while UWA drops to 8-8.
The Badgers got the scoring going with a two-run double by Seth Williams in the first, followed by three more runs in the second.
Leading 5-0, Spring Hill added four runs in the third, capped by a two-run single by Parker Serio before putting the game in run-rule effect with three more runs in the sixth.
The Tigers had their best opportunity to scratch a run across in the fourth after a one-out walk by
Ryan Fletcher and a two-out knock by
Cade Horton, but the threat ended on a strikeout.

Michael Allen Cole all had hits for the Tigers in the loss, while
Ryan Fletcher earned two walks.
Toran Smith led the Badgers with a perfect 3-for-3 day at the plate with three runs scored.
West Alabama returns to action on the road this weekend at Auburn Montgomery.
