NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The University of West Alabama women's soccer team played to a 2-2 draw with Trevecca Nazarene University on Sunday in Nashville.
Both teams found the net twice in a tightly contested match, resulting in a non-conference tie.
The Trojans' Sky Baum scored both goals for Trevecca, finding the back of the net in the 52nd and 83rd minute while Abbey Roberts and Alieen Charles recorded the Tigers' goals, coming in the 75th and 76th minute.
Trevecca Nazarene had the majority of chances, outshooting UWA 17-7, including eight shots on goal compared to UWA's three. Despite the pressure, UWA's defense and goalkeeper Dior Wilson came up with five key saves. UWA managed to hold on and secure the draw after a strong second half.
West Alabama's next match will be against Montevallo on Wednesday, September 25th, at 7:00 p.m. in Livingston, Alabama.
