Tigers Host Flames and Trojans

LIVINGSTON, Ala. — West Alabama (9-12, 4-9 GSC) returns home looking to build on Tuesday night's commanding sweep over Miles College and carry that momentum into a pivotal weekend slate inside Pruitt Hall. The Tigers will host Lee University on Friday at 6 p.m. before welcoming Trevecca Nazarene on Saturday.

UWA enters the weekend with confidence after defeating Miles for the second time this season. In the win, KB Kinney turned in a career performance, posting 15 kills, 17 assists, and 7 digs to earn her second straight Player of the Match honor. The Tigers controlled the match from start to finish behind strong net play and aggressive serving.

Friday: West Alabama vs. Lee University

Lee enters Friday's matchup at 12-11 overall and 8-6 in GSC play, looking to rebound after a 3-1 loss to UAH. The Flames were led by Payton Dailey (14 kills) and Sydney Sharpe (19 assists) in their last outing.

The Tigers and Flames last met on October 4 in Cleveland, Tenn., where UWA battled but fell 3-1 despite standout performances from Cadence Goeden with a career-high 21 kills and Jana Petkovic with 36 assists. With home court advantage this time around, the Tigers look to even the season series and protect Pruitt Hall.

Saturday: West Alabama vs. Trevecca Nazarene

Trevecca Nazarene enters the weekend 17-6 overall and 11-3 in conference play, coming off a 3-1 victory over Montevallo. The Trojans were led by Mackenzie Martin (15 kills) and Skias Hainline (37 assists).

The teams last met on October 3 in Nashville, where UWA fell 3-0. Katerina Korre led the Tigers with 13 kills, while Petkovic added 27 assists. UWA now aims to return the favor at home and turn the tide in this matchup.

With the regular season winding down, these critical conference matchups carry major playoff implications. West Alabama looks to capitalize on home court advantage and continue building momentum as they push toward clinching a postseason berth.

First serve vs. Lee is set for Friday at 6 p.m., followed by Saturday's matchup vs. Trevecca Nazarene inside Pruitt Hall at 2 p.m.
