LIVINGSTON, Ala. — West Alabama (11-17, 6-14 Gulf South) closed its season with a dominant 3–0 sweep over Union University (5-22, 3-17 Gulf South) on Friday at Pruitt Hall. The Tigers posted an impressive .438 hitting percentage in the second set.
UWA set the tone early behind strong swings from Player of the Match Klára Bobánová, who finished with 18 kills and six digs. Jazlyn Snow opened the scoring with a kill assisted by Jana Petkovic, and the Tigers capitalized on Union errors to pull away. Additional contributions from Cadence Goeden and Gracie Pierscinski helped secure the 25–14 first-set win.
The Tigers controlled the second set with key plays from Snow, Pierscinski, and Bobánová, along with service aces from Bailey Keef and KB Kinney. Petkovic sealed the frame with an ace for the 25–21 victory.
In the third set, West Alabama continued its steady play with timely kills from Bobánová, Katerina Korre, Snow, and Goeden. Union pushed late, but the Tigers held firm, closing the match on a decisive kill by Pierscinski to win 25–22.
This was the Tigers' final match of the season, and the team now looks ahead to building toward an even stronger 2026 campaign.
