LIVINGSTON, Ala. - The University of West Alabama Women's Tennis team extended their win streak to four on Sunday after a 4-0 sweep over Arkansas Tech.
To begin, West Alabama took the Doubles point, with Alexa Milliam/Emiri Takanishi and Greta Zawels/Lolita Hukasian both securing 6-1 victories in their respective matches. With their win on Sunday, the duo of Milliam and Takanishi remain undefeated, moving to 7-0 on the year.
In singles play, Shaira Rivera handled her business, producing a (6-0, 6-2) win while Milliam continued to ascend towards superstardom in Line Two. The Freshman picked up another victory in straight sets, winning (6-3, 6-2) to improve to 8-0 on the year.
In Line Six, Zawels clinched the match for the Tigers with a (6-2, 6-2) decision to conclude play.
Valentina Mutilba, Takanishi, and Hukasian were all in the heat of battle before Zawels' outcome ended the contest.
No. 17 West Alabama will be back on Tuesday when they welcome No. 24 Columbus State for a top-25 ranked contest at 1:00 p.m.
