LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The Gulf South Conference announced its 2025 Women's Soccer Preseason All-Conference Team and Newcomer Watchlist on Tuesday, with three members of the West Alabama squad earning recognition as potential impact players for the upcoming season.
While the Tigers did not have a representative on the preseason all-conference team, freshmen Mikaela Carpino (M, Bishop Reding Catholic – Canada) and Talitha Hines (F, Jacksonville Armada FC), along with junior transfer Bailee Fairley (F, Collinsville, Miss. / Holmes CC), were each named to the GSC Newcomer Watchlist.
Carpino brings a strong technical skillset and vision in the midfield, while Hines adds pace and attacking creativity from the front line. Fairley, coming to Livingston after a standout career at Holmes Community College, will look to provide immediate experience and scoring power to the Tigers' offense.
West Alabama enters the 2025 season with a youthful roster that combines promising first-year talent with experienced returners, as the program aims to climb the Gulf South standings.
The Tigers open their season on the road against Kentucky Wesleyan on September 4th.
