LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The University of West Alabama men's soccer team opens Gulf South Conference play at home this weekend, hosting Trevecca Nazarene on Friday, Sept. 19, at 7:30 p.m. in a "Red Out" matchup before squaring off against Lee University on Sunday, Sept. 21, at 3:30 p.m. for "Youth Day."

The Tigers (0-2-1) are still searching for their first win of the season after a competitive non-conference slate. Offensively, David Nunez has led the way with two goals and one assist, while Kyrylo Peregudov has added a goal. Ronny Wakelin has provided a spark in the attack with two assists. In goal, Charlie Walker has played every minute, collecting seven saves across three matches.

Trevecca Nazarene (2-0-1) comes into Livingston unbeaten and led by a balanced attack. Chris Douglas has scored two goals and added one assist, while Daniel Shiel and Luke Tedder have chipped in a goal apiece. Goalkeeper Hunter Walker has been steady in net, allowing only two goals in three matches for a 0.67 goals-against average with 12 saves.

Lee (3-1-0) enters the weekend as one of the league's top teams, featuring a dangerous offensive group. Nicolas Napoli leads the Flames with four goals and two assists through four matches, while Marcos Garcia and Daniel Garvilla have combined for three more goals. Defensively, Lee has been stout, giving up just three goals across four games, with Charles Carriglitto and Paul Northcutt splitting time in goal.

The Tigers look to use their home field to build momentum and make a strong statement to start GSC play.
