LIVINGSTON, Ala. - The University of West Alabama Athletic Department has announced 33 new inductees into the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society for the 2025-26 academic year.

Chi Alpha Sigma recognizes college student-athletes who receive a varsity letter in their sport, achieve junior academic standing or higher after their fifth term semester, and earn a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade point average.

This year, Baseball had the most inductees with six while Softball sits right behind with five. Women's Basketball has the third most with four representatives. Men's Basketball, Volleyball, Men's Tennis, and Women's Soccer all have three representatives while Men's Soccer and Women's Tennis place two student-athletes on Chi Alpha Sigma. Men's and Women's Track round it out with one representative a piece.

Since joining in 2011, now 271 West Alabama student-athletes have been selected to the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society. 

UWA is the Eta chapter of the State of Alabama in the honor society. Other schools that participate in the state include Auburn, Faulkner, UAB, Montevallo, Alabama Huntsville, Alabama State and Miles.

The Tigers serve as one of seven GSC schools that are a part of the Society, joining Alabama Huntsville, Christian Brothers, Delta State, Montevallo, Lee, and West Florida.
