LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The West Alabama volleyball team continues its early-season tournament schedule this weekend as the Tigers travel to Arkadelphia, Arkansas, for four matches at the Reddie-Tiger Invitational on Friday and Saturday.

West Alabama (3-1) enters its second weekend of competition after picking up three victories at the Bobcat Classic in Milledgeville, Georgia. The Tigers earned wins over Georgia College, Albany State and Southern Wesleyan, with their lone setback coming against Carson-Newman.

UWA will play three matches inside Ouachita Baptist's Sturgis Physical Education Center and one at Henderson State's Duke Wells Center.

The Tigers open the weekend Friday at 11 a.m. against LeMoyne-Owen before traveling across Arkadelphia for a 5 p.m. matchup with tournament co-host Henderson State. UWA returns to the Sturgis Physical Education
Center Saturday to face Texas A&M International at 10:30 a.m. before closing the weekend against Erskine at 4:30 p.m.

LeMoyne-Owen
LeMoyne-Owen enters the weekend 0-4 after opening the season at the Southern Arkansas Tournament.

The Magicians fell in straight sets to Southern Arkansas and Texas A&M-Kingsville on Friday before dropping a five-set match to Arkansas-Monticello and a three-set contest against UT Tyler on Saturday.

LeMoyne-Owen is in its second season under head coach Makayla "MJayee" Johnson after finishing 4-24 in 2025.

Johnson brought in eight newcomers during the offseason, including five freshmen and three transfers. 

West Alabama and LeMoyne-Owen will open the Tigers' weekend Friday at 11 a.m. inside the Sturgis Physical Education Center.

Henderson State
Henderson State enters its home tournament with a 1-3 record following four matches at the Bettye Wallace Classic in Arkadelphia.

The Reddies opened the season with a 3-0 victory over Cameron before narrowly falling to Augustana in five sets. Henderson State then dropped a pair of four-set matches against UT Dallas and Arkansas-Fort Smith on Saturday.

Sophomore Kelis Battles has led the Reddies offensively through the opening weekend. Battles recorded a double-double in each of Henderson State's first four matches and totaled 54 kills across the weekend.

Tyhia Mack has directed the Reddie offense at setter, recording 88 assists over four matches, while reigning conference Defensive Player of the Year Kaylon Partain totaled 109 digs during opening weekend.

UWA and Henderson State will meet at 5 p.m. Friday inside the Duke Wells Center.

Texas A&M International
Texas A&M International opened the season 2-2 at the Drury Invitational in Springfield, Missouri.

The Dustdevils dropped their opener in straight sets against Southern Nazarene before responding with consecutive victories over Newman and Minot State. TAMIU swept Newman before outlasting Minot State in five sets and closed the weekend with a 3-0 loss to host Drury.

Senior outside hitter Mia Molina led the Dustdevils during opening weekend with 52 kills and 41 digs. Molina reached double figures in kills in each of the first three matches, including a 17-kill, 17-dig performance against Minot State.

Andrea Nunez added 43 kills during the tournament, while Ece Özdemir finished with 33. 

The Tigers and Dustdevils will meet Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Sturgis Physical Education Center.

Erskine
Erskine comes to Arkansas with a 1-2 record after beginning the season at the 5th Set Invitational in Salisbury, North Carolina.

The Flying Fleet opened with a straight-set loss to Winston-Salem State before responding with a 3-0 victory over Davis & Elkins. Erskine finished the tournament with a three-set loss to host Catawba.

Freshman Madison Bagwell led Erskine in its victory over Davis & Elkins, recording 12 kills on a .323 hitting percentage while adding four service aces. Becca Yohe paced the Fleet with 10 kills against Catawba, while Alexis Waddy recorded nine in the season opener.

West Alabama and Erskine will close the Tigers' weekend Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
