2013 (Sophomore):  Named to the Gulf South Conference All-Tournament Team … Led the league in saves (60), saves per game (.789) and goal against average (1.03) … Finished second in the conference with four complete shutouts and two combined shutouts … Ended with a 10-4-1 record … Named GSC Player of the Week with eight saves against (Oct. 11) ... Named to the GSC All-Academic Team with a GPA of 3.73 ... Also named to the 2013 GSC Academic Honor Roll.

2012 (Freshman): Started in four matches … posted 12 total saves and allowed seven goals … recorded one shutout against Shorter on Oct. 26 … ended the season with 1.75 goal against average and .632 save percentage.

Pre UWA: Comes to UWA by way of Shades Valley High School in Birmingham, Ala., where he played both soccer and basketball…Was an Alabama State Champion in both the 2011 and 2012 seasons…Stone also won the Most Valuable Player Award at his high school and received a Josten Scholarship for his high academic achievements in the classroom.

Personal: Full name is Lavares Bernard State….He Was born on Dec. 8, 1993… He is the son of Jackie and Tracie Stone and has one brother (Justillus) and two sisters (Jakhalia and Daejah)…Stone is majoring in civil engineering.
