Prior to UWA: Transferred to UWA from Indian River State College in Ft. Pierce, Fla…Was the Florida Community Colleges Activities Association Player of the Week three times during her two year career, after she compiled five matches with over 30 digs and 20 matches with over 20 digs during her career…Smith was also ranked in the nation for digs per set and was second in the state of Florida in that category…Earned a First-Team All-Southern Conference honor and took home the Pioneer Pride Award during her time at Indian River…Smith prepped at Santa Fe High School in Alachua, Fla., where she led her team in service points, aces, and assists…She was also the captain of her high school team where she led her squad to the 2009 Volleyball District Championship and the 2008 Basketball District Championship.    

Personal: Cynthia Smith was born on Dec. 2, 1991 in High Springs, Fla…She is the daughter of Ted and Pam Smith and has one brother (Jason) and one sister (Beverly)…Smith is majoring in pre-pharmacy at UWA.
