Steven Thomas

Steven Thomas joined the West Alabama men’s basketball coaching staff as a graduate assistant in August 2017.

Thomas comes to Livingston via Mobile Christian (Ala.) School where he served as the varsity assistant basketball coach, directing pre-season strength and conditioning, as well as scouting, film breakdown and game planning. Thomas also helmed the MCHS varsity soccer program while teaching 10th-12th grade chemistry.
 
Thomas served as a summer camp teacher at Mobile Christian from 2013-15 before completing his student-teaching internship with MCS in 2016 where he taught ninth grade biology, eighth grade physics and seventh grade life science.
 
As a student-teacher, Thomas also coached junior varsity and varsity basketball as well as varsity soccer.
 
Thomas is a 2016 graduate of the University of Mobile, earning his bachelor’s degree in Biology Education. As a member of the Rams’ basketball team, Thomas was a part of three winning seasons and served on the NAIA SSAC Student Council.
 
After completing his eligibility, Thomas joined the Ram’s coaching staff as a student assistant from 2015-16, where he was responsible for practice drills and equipment, on-campus recruiting, scouting reports, individual player development, film breakdown and study hall.
