William Triplett serves as the Director of Strength and Conditioning for Olympic Sports at the University of West Alabama, where he oversees strength and conditioning programs for Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, and Men’s Soccer while assisting with strength and conditioning operations for the football program.

Triplett brings more than 10 years of experience in athletic performance, strength and conditioning, and athletic administration across the collegiate, private performance, and high school levels. Prior to joining West Alabama, he gained Division I experience as a Strength and Conditioning Intern at the University of Louisiana, assisting with football training operations, athlete testing and monitoring, performance evaluations, and the implementation of year-round training programs. He also utilized sport science technologies, including force plates and GPS monitoring systems, to collect and analyze athlete performance data.

Triplett previously served as Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Performance at Florida Memorial University, where he directed strength and conditioning programs for all varsity athletic teams, managed performance facilities and equipment operations, and supervised sports performance staff and interns. During his tenure, Florida Memorial captured conference championship success in Women’s Basketball during the 2022–23 season and Men’s Basketball during the 2023–24 season.

His professional experience also includes coaching roles at D1 Training and Zone 21 Performance, as well as work with Catholic High School in Baton Rouge. Across these positions, Triplett has specialized in athlete development, performance program design, facility operations, staff leadership, and the development of athletes ranging from youth to elite levels.

Triplett earned a Bachelor of Science in Sports Administration from Belhaven University in 2013.
