Deja Moorer is set to begin her first season as UWA Volleyball Graduated Assistant after joining the program in July 2019.
Moorer comes to UWA after serving as the varsity volleyball coach at her high school Alma Mater John Carroll Catholic High School last season. In 2017, she coached the junior varsity squad at George W. Carver High School in Birmingham while also working with the Southern Performance Volleyball Club where she still instructs. She also aided in summer team camps at the University of Alabama and Emory University the past two summers.
Moorer spent her undergraduate years at Union University where she graduated with a degree in Psychology in 2017. She reached over 1,000 career kills during her time as a Bulldog, was named to the Gulf South Conference Fall Honor in her junior and senior years.
