UAH Blisters The Nets; Knocks UWA's Men Out Of GSC Tournament

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – Alabama in Huntsville canned 16-of-28 three pointers, including 11-19 in the first half, to race to an 86-66 win over West Alabama here Saturday night.  UAH clinched at least a tie for first place in the GSC East with a 9-1 league mark and a 21-5 overall record. 
 
The Chargers held a 44-20 lead at intermission and lead by as much as 32, 78-46, with 6:19 to go in the game.  Freshman Zane Campbell came off of the bench to score 26 points to pace UAH.  Jaime Smith, another freshman, tallied 21 points on seven three-pointers while Josh Magette added 16 points and handed out 11 assists.
 
UWA, who ended the 2009-10 season with a 13-14 overall mark and a 3-7 league record, was led by Jason Swanson's 18 point and 10 rebound effort.  Brandon Hampton and Chris Davis added 14 points each.
 
The game was the final contest in the careers of six Tiger seniors, Swanson, Hampton, Davis, Richard Sirju, Lucas Hall, and Brian Murphy.
