CARROLLTON, Ga. – The University of West Alabama volleyball team (16-8, 4-3 GSC) leaves the West Georgia Crossover with a 2-1 record after splitting a pair of contests on Saturday.
UWA took down Barry College by a score of 3-0 late Saturday afternoon, after falling 3-0 to Rollins earlier in the day.

Playing in two matches on the day, the Tigers had a chance to rebound, and that is exactly what they did, rolling past Barry in the afternoon session. In that contest, UWA had a team hitting percentage of .319 compared to Barry's .058 percentage. The Tigers were led by
Sadie Beam's 13 kills, while
Olivia Drew and
Tazra Pitts each added 10 kills. Meanwhile, senior
Alexis McHale continues her record season with a match-high 37 assists in just three games.
The Red and White now return home as the squad entertains Gulf-South Conference foe Alabama-Huntsville at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Pruitt Hall.
