LIVINGSTON, Ala. –
Seeking to snap a two-game losing streak, the University of West Alabama men's basketball team returns to the hardwood to host the nation's fourth ranked team – the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m. Live stats, live video and audio will be available at www.uwaathletics.com.

The Tigers – who sit fifth in the Gulf South Conference East Division – remain in the mix for a berth into the GSC Tournament as they prepare to host the Chargers – who have already clinched a spot in the conference tournament. The Red and White (8-12, 3-4 GSC) dropped a 69-49 decision to UAH earlier this season in Huntsville.

Alquan Mendenhall and Richard Dixon have led UWA in scoring the last six outings – a stretch in which the Tigers have drawn even. Mendenhall is averaging 11.7 points per game followed by Dixon's 11.2 scoring average. Paul Mitchell paces the Red and White on the glass with 6.2 rebounds per contest. Dixon and Korielle Beavers rank just behind Mitchell in the rebounding category with 5.7 boards per outing.

UAH (21-2, 8-0 GSC) enters the weekend riding a 10-game, win streak. The Chargers – who haven't lost since Jan. 2 – are led by a trio scoring in double figures. Zane Campbell is the catalyst for the Blue and White with 14 points per game. Jamie Smith and Josh Magette stand behind Campbell with 12.9 and 12.0 points respectively.

Following the contest Saturday evening, West Alabama returns to the road on Wednesday evening as the Tigers face West Florida. Tip-off in Pensacola is scheduled for 7 p.m.
