In singles action, No. 1 Lopez had the toughest route to victory as he won 6-1 in the first set before dropping the second set 4-6. He responded with a 6-4 performance in the third. Cruz won from the five position 6-4, 6-4, and Luis Ruiz rounded out the Tigers winners with a 6-2, 6-0 decision.
