LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The University of West Alabama baseball team will travel to Tuscaloosa to take on Stillman College for a 2 p.m. showdown on Tuesday. UWA enters the contest with a 17-17 mark while Tuesday's hosts own a 22-16 mark.
UWA will be looking for a positive outcome after squandering an 8-0 lead on Sunday to West Georgia.
Colin McKeen had a strong weekend against the Wolves as he hit .500 for the series while driving in five runs and scoring five times as well. The Orangeville, Ontario, native also belted his third home run of the season to pull into a tie with
Micah Reaves for second on the squad.
The pair trails Kevin Deese who also had a bomb this weekend to give him five on the season.
Stillman enters the contest on quite a streak as they swept LeMoyne-Owen this past weekend by scores of 5-0, 21-2 and 38-2. Jarius Brown leads the way offensively with a .386 average at the dish while boasting a team-best 37 RBI.
While the team has only hit three homers on the season, it has racked up 69 doubles and 15 triples on the year. Mike Jackson leads the squad with five three-baggers and is second on the team with 36 RBI.
The pitching staff features a 4.82 ERA and four players have three or more wins on the season.
