"It's important to come out focused and after a big win on Sunday it is easy to come out flat," said UWA Head Women's Soccer Coach

Coleman, with the help of a free kick by
Mara DeLuca, assisted on the game-winning goal by
Nicki Gears in the 17

"I'm so happy for my team and to be able to represent my fellow freshman on the field," said Coleman. "It was a great win tonight. Nicki and I are really clicking up front right now. I love being able to play with her."
The Tigers shot 10-for-18 on-goal, with Gears finishing 4-for-7. Coleman followed with three shots on-goal in six attempts. The UWA defense allowed only three shots on-goal.

West Alabama women's soccer returns to Gulf South Conference action Sunday to take on North Alabama in Florence, Ala. The Tigers, who are 7-1-1 in the GSC, will look to defend their top seat in the league from the third place Lions who are 10-2-1 overall and 7-2 in the conference. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.
"Tonight was a great tune-up for a big game on Sunday," Orr said. "We still have three games left that could determine where we end up at the end of the season. Each game is important and it's important that we keep doing the little things so that the big things will come in the end."
