LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The start time for Saturday's scheduled Gulf South Conference doubleheader between West Alabama and Valdosta State has been shifted to noon at Tartt Field.
West Alabama comes into the series with a 15-7 overall record, 6-6 in the GSC. Eighth-ranked Valdosta State is 14-5 and 7-4.
The series features some of the top players in the Gulf South Conference. VSU shortstop Mike Reed leads the league in hitting at .418, while UWA left handed pitcher Zack Parks leads the league in wins with five and ERA at 0.68. Valdosta pitcher Josh Mann also has five wins.
