"I feel that our extremely difficult schedule has caught up with us," said UWA head coach
Matthew Thorne.
"At first we came out flat and a harsh send off by one of our players made it hard to come back. The lads worked real hard for each other when we went down to 10 men. This schedule will have us prepared to play anyone in the conference."
West Alabama will return home to open Gulf South Conference play against Delta State Friday in Tiger Stadium at 7:30 p.m.
