AMERICUS, Ga. – Four University of West Alabama women's soccer players netted goals to defeat Georgia Southwestern 4-0 in non-conference action on the road Tuesday.
West Alabama improves its win streak to five while rising to 5-1 overall. Georgia Southwestern drops to 0-7.

Chelsea Commings and
Amy Armistead all scored their first goals of the season. Reillu's goal in the sixth minute proved the game winner, while also claiming an assist. Commings tallied her first points in the 27
th minute, while Armistead solidified the victory in the 67
th minute.
Nicki Gears, who assisted on Reilly's goal, extended the Tigers lead to 3-0 before half time with her fifth goal in six matches. Gears now has 43 goals in her four years at UWA holding her as the nation's fifth active career leading scorer.
UWA finished with 12 shots on goal, three of them belonging to Reilly. It was the third shutout for the Tiger defense that allowed only one shot on goal from the Hurricans.

Anna Eastis (1-0) received her first start of the season. She claimed the shutout with one save. Emily Jones (0-7) took the loss despite making seven saves.
West Alabama women's soccer returns to Gulf South Conference action Friday to take on Delta State in Tiger Stadium at 5 p.m.
