"It was a great team effort," said UWA head coach
Will Atkinson.
"It's obviously nice to win at home, but I'm just really proud of the effort. We were able to come out and score a few runs. The defense looked good and the pitching did very well tonight. We got to see a few people play tonight who didn't get the opportunity on Saturday. It was just nice to come out and get those first couple of wins under our belt."
The Tigers return to action Sunday on the road against non-conference opponent Spring Hill College. Game one of the double header is scheduled to begin at Noon.
