"It was an all together well played series for us this weekend," UWA head coach
Gary Rundles said. "The pitching was outstanding today, and we played great defense. We were able to turn double plays when we needed to get out of a jam. Offensively, we had much better approaches at the plate. We are getting guys on base and getting timely hits now."
Nick Delgado had a pair of singles in game one and another in game two to extend his hitting streak to 12 games and his batting average to .478.
Rainey led the day with six RBI, finishing 2-for-3 in each game.
Luigi Mendez added a home run with a double to finish 2-for-4 in game one with two runs. He added another double in game two, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Holgate doubled and tripled in game one with two runs and two RBI in four at bats. He followed that up with a home run in game two, while adding four more RBI and two runs in four at bats. Â
Brock Montgomery entered in the sixth inning in game one, belting a triple in his only at bat. Eddie Kiefer added a double in the first game, while
Jack Cockrum doubled in the second.
"We are improving most in our confidence factor," said Rundles. "Our guys are starting to believe that they can play this game and win. I am really pleased with how our guys are handling the success. The toughest part is handling success with class, dignity and not expecting it to just happen. This we did a great job of that."

Mississippi College starter Jake Fraze (2-3) absorbed the loss in game one, allowing nine runs through four innings. Taylor Olsen (1-3) carded the loss in game two with eight runs allowed through three innings.
