"You're just not going to win ball games win you have six errors. There's no two-ways about it," said Coach
Will Atkinson. "They scored four runs in the seventh inning and didn't get a hit. We have to do a better job of taking care of the softball."
Leigh Beatenbaugh (4-5) pitched four innings to collect the win only giving up two hits and striking out four batters.
Alli Hall (5-7) pitched all seven innings for West Alabama allowing nine hits and striking out three in the loss.
"We had a lot of adversity trying to get the field ready and I think it threw us off of our normal routine a little bit, but tomorrow's a new day and good Lord willing the sun will be shining and we'll get out here and have a better effort," Atkinson said.
Both teams return to action Sunday for a doubleheader. First pitch is scheduled for Noon at the UWA Softball Complex.
