WOMEN'S RECORDS
West Alabama is 4-5 overall, 1-2 in road games. AUM 1-13 overall and 1-3 at home.
 
LAST WOMEN'S MEETING
West Alabama's women defeated AUM, 70-38, on Dec. 3 at Pruitt Hall Gym on the UWA campus. Jenna Bradberry scored a career-high 19 points for the Tigers. Chloe Culpepper chipped in 16 and Ariel Wilson 11. Kierra Groce had nine rebounds as the Tigers built a 34-9 lead at the half and never looked back. No Warhawks players scored in double figures.
 
MEN'S RECORDS
West Alabama is 4-4 overall, 1-2 on the road. Auburn Montgomery is 4-9 overall and 1-1 at home.
 
LAST MEN'S MEETING
West Alabama cruised to a 70-54 victory on Dec. 3 at Pruitt Hall Gym on the UWA campus.
Jahmal Lane poured in 24 points and Jake Jobling 12 to lead the Tigers. Sean Cranney collected eight rebounds. Desmond Deramus had 24 points for the Warhawks.
 
 
NOTEWORTHY
  • The AUM women come into the contest having lost 11 straight games. The Warhawks haven't won since a 60-51 win at Georgia Southwestern on Nov. 15.
  • The UWA women have won four of their last seven games, including a 77-65 win at Alabama Huntsville in the last outing before Christmas break on Dec. 17.
  • After a four-game winning streak the men are 4-4 and will be looking to snap a three-game losing skid at Auburn Montgomery.
  • The AUM men are riding a modest three-game winning streak dating back to a 69-68 win at Albany State on Dec. 12.
  • The doubleheader at AUM marks the final non-conference outings of the season for both the Tiger men and women.
  • The West Alabama men lead the Gulf South Conference in scoring defense, allowing just 63.1 points per game, but are 12th in scoring offense at 61.9 per game.
  • Gavin Robinson's 10.3 rebounds per game is second in the GSC.
  • Sean Cranney leads the GSC in assists with 5.4 per game and Dominique Alexander leads the league in blocked shots with 2.8 per game (22 total).
  • The West Alabama women are third in the GSC in scoring defense, allowing just 58.4 points per game.
  • Auburn-Montgomery is set to be a provisional member of the Gulf South Conference next season in its second year of provisional NCAA membership. The Warhawks are scheduled to be a full NCAA Division II member in 2019-20.

West Alabama is host to Shorter in Gulf South Conference play Saturday. The women tip off at 2 p.m. and the men 30 minutes after the conclusion of the women's game.
