CLINTON, Miss. – After Mississippi College and West Alabama split six singles matches, the Choctaws won two of three in doubles to take a 5-4 Gulf South Conference men's tennis win over the Tigers Wednesday at the MC Tennis Complex.
 
West Alabama, ranked 42^nd nationally and 10^th in the NCAA South Region, dropped to 3-3 overall and 1-2 in GSC play. Mississippi College is 5-4 and 2-0.
 
Nicolai Jochamowitz, Christopher Wood and Andril Stratienko won singles matches at #3 through #5, but Caspar Schuetze and Prabh Bal were the only Tigers to manage a win in doubles as the Tigers lost for the second straight match.
West Alabama plays the second of three straight road matches at Alabama State on Saturday at 2 p.m.
