Tigers Open GSC Tournament vs UWG Saturday at 7 p.m.

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The West Alabama baseball team will open play in the 2016 Gulf South Conference Tournament against West Georgia on Saturday at 7 p.m.
 
The third-seeded Tigers (35-13, 23-10) will play the fourth-seeded Wolves (37-12, 22-11) at Spooner Field on the campus of the University of West Florida in Pensacola. West Alabama and West Georgia have played three times this season, with the Tigers winning twice.
 
No. 2 seed Delta State (34-15, 23-10) will play fifth-seeded Alabama Huntsville (31-18, 21-12) in the first game of the tournament Saturday at 11 a.m. Hosting and top-seeded West Florida (33-13, 24-7)will play No. 6 seed Lee (30-16, 18-11) in the middle game at 3 p.m.
 
Three games per day are scheduled through Monday in the double elimination tournament, with the championship game set for noon on Tuesday.
 
Daily pass prices for each day of the tournament are $8 for adults, $5 for children 6-17, $5 for students (with GSC Student ID) and FREE for children 5 and under. All Tournament passes can also be purchased for $20. All ticket revenue is retained by the GSC.
