MELBOURNE, Fla. – A 59
th minute goal from Florida Tech's Evan Enders proved to be the difference on Sunday as West Alabama men's soccer fell to FIT 1-0 at Rick Stottler Field.
The Tigers fall to 0-3 on the season, while the Panthers improve to 2-0-1.
Brandon Smalley put a through ball past the Tigers' backline, allowing Enders to net the game-winning goal early in the second half. Per Henrik Nag also picked up an assist on the goal.
West Alabama finished with 2 shots-on-goal, while Florida Tech landed eight shots on target. The Tigers were outshot 21 to five.
Christopher Page (1-0) earns the win, making two saves in his first shutout of the season.
Brad Louis (0-3) made seven saves in the loss, allowing just one goal on 21 shots faced.
The Tigers will return to Livingston, Alabama, to face Louisiana College on Wednesday. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
