Volleyball returns to form with straight set win over Union

LIVINGSTON, Ala.— After a tough weekend, the West Alabama Tigers returned to the friendly confines of Pruitt Hall and returned true to form with a 3-0 victory over the Union Bulldogs Monday night in Gulf South Conference action.
 
UWA (25-15, 25-19, 25-23) moves to 14-9 overall and 6-1 in the GSC while Union falls to 12-12 and 2-7 in the conference.
 
Briana Sandifer and McKaidan Moore both finished with double digit digs as the senior from Huntsville, Ala. notched 16 and the freshman from Pasco, Wash. tallied 14. Kassie Till posted 34 assists in the effort.
 
Sandifer also led the defense with 10 digs.
 
The Tigers return to action Friday as they travel to face the Valdosta State Blazers starting at 6 p.m. locally. Union will travel to face North Alabama on Oct. 20.
