Tiger Triathlon to Tri The Gulf

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – With the Women's Collegiate Triathlon Championships just over two weeks away, the University of West Alabama triathlon team will travel to Dauphin Island, Alabama for one last tune up before the big show.
 
The Tigers will compete at the Tri The Gulf sprint triathlon on Saturday. The course consists of a 600-yard Gulf of Mexico swim, a 16.7-mile island and bridge bike topped off by a 3.25-mile island run. The event begins at 7 a.m.
 
The UWA team competing at the Tri The Gulf consists of Chloe Bennett, Julia Bergmann, McKenna de la Garza, Caitlyn Muncher and Emma Powell.
 
UWA will travel to Tempe, Arizona for the national championships on Nov. 5.
