Tigers fall in regular season finale to UAH, 3-1

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The regular season didn't end the way the West Alabama Tigers would've liked as UWA fell 3-1 on the road to the University of Alabama in Huntsville Chargers.
 
UWA (23-25, 20-25, 25-23, 21-25) drops to 19-13 overall and 11-5 in the Gulf South Conference while UAH improves to 23-11 and 11-5 in the GSC.
 
Briana Sandifer smashed 23 kills in the loss. Four-time reigning GSC Freshman of the Week Kassie Till was impressive once more with 24 assists while Jordyn Beans had a career day with 21 assists.
 
Rebecca Johnson led in digs with 22 followed by 17 for both McKaidan Moore and Alex Fuelling.
 
Anna Claire Johnson led the Chargers with 22 kills and Kristen Giles had 39 assists.
 
Despite the loss, The Tigers will be the No. 3 in the GSC Volleyball Championship Tournament and will face the No. 6 seed Lee Nov. 17 in Pensacola, Fla. on the campus of the University of West Florida starting at 6:30 p.m. UAH is the No. 4 seed and faces No. 5 seed Shorter Nov. 17 at 4 p.m.
