CARROLLTON, Ga. – The West Alabama Tigers ended a two-game road slide with a 3-0 straight set victory over the hosting West Georgia Wolves Tuesday night in Gulf South Conference volley action.

UWA (25-19, 25-19, 25-22) improves to 18-12 overall and 10-4 in the GSC, which keeps the Tigers in the race for the No. 3 seed. UWG falls to 4-26 overall and 3-13 in the conference.

The Tigers used a balanced offensive attack to keep the Wolves defense off balance. Briana Sandifer and McKaidan Moore both recorded nine kills, Jamie Lancellot got eight and Taylor Donato got seven.

Now Four-time reigning GSC Freshman of the Week Kassie Till passed 24 assists and nailed two kills, while contributing defensively with 10 digs. Rebecca Johnson led the team with 15 digs while Donato, Lancellot and Moore all registered two blocks.

Anjelina Webb led West Georgia with 10 kills and Madi Fleming had 23 assists.

UWA returns to action Friday in Pruitt Hall against Auburn-Montgomery. The night will be a special occasion as the team will honor its only senior Briana Sandifer before the game, which is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. The Wolves host Montevallo on Nov. 10.
