UWA Baseball Moves Back into NCBWA Regional Rankings

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – After winning three of four games last week, the University of West Alabama baseball team moved back into the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association NCAA Division II South Region ranking at No. 8.

Tampa (21-7) is first in the NCBWA South Region poll, followed by Delta State (22-7), Nova Southeastern (20-10), Florida Southern (21-6) and Lynn (20-10) in the top five. Valdosta State (20-10) is sixth, West Florida (19-10), UWA (20-10), North Alabama (16-13) and Palm Beach Atlantic (20-11).

The Tigers step out of Gulf South Conference play Tuesday, hosting Auburn-Montgomery (13-15) at Tartt Field in the first of a nine-game homestand. First pitch is set for 5 p.m.

GSC play resumes Saturday when Lee (20-11) visits UWA for a 2 p.m. doubleheader.
