Brador's two goals leads Tigers in 3-0 win over AUM

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – It was déjà vu for Ali Brador as the Frenchman scored two goals for the second time this season against the Warhawks of Auburn-Montgomery leading the West Alabama Tigers to a 3-0 victory in Gulf South Conference completion.

UWA moves to 6-2 overall and 2-1 in the GSC while AUM falls to 0-9 and 0-1 in the conference.

"We're happy to get the win today," said Head coach Matther Thorne. "Harry Roberts scored our first goal with a great finish. As the first half developed we drifted away from our game plan."

Although Brador scored two, it was Harrison Roberts who got the Tigers on the board first at the 8:31 mark off an assist from Liam Ireland.

After the half break, Brador scored with 65:54 minutes passed and then again at 67:09 minutes mark to give UWA the 3-0 winning advantage. Rakim Ali and Jean-Baptiste Meyniel assisted on each Brador goal respectively.

"In the second half we kept it simple and we stuck to our game plan more. Ali Brador scored two quality goals in quick succession to help seal the game. We want to carry this momentum after three wins on the bounce," said Thorne. "Now we focus on Montevallo for Sunday."

The Tigers outshot AUM 12-9. Meyniel led with three shots while Brador and Harrison each took two.

UWA travels to Montevallo for a GSC match on Sunday starting at 7 p.m. The Warhawks host UAH on Oct. 1.
