Tigers Fall Short against Argos

PENSACOLA, Fla. – The West Florida Argonauts strongly defended home field and grabbed a 4-1 win over the West Alabama Tigers in Gulf South Conference Men's Soccer action Friday night.
 
UWA now sits at 5-5-2 on the season and 3-3-1 in the GSC. The Argos improve to 8-2-2 overall and 6-0-1 in the conference.
 
The Tigers lone goal in the contest came at the 23:25 mark when Ali Brador scored on an assist from David Nascimento to even the score at 1-1.  It was the eighth on the season for the forward from Ronchin, France. 
 
Ed Chappe scored the first and third goals of the contest to give UWF a 2-1 lead at the half. Andrew Wentz and Kameron Bethell added two more goals to give the Argos the 4-1 final advantage. 
 
West Alabama returns to action Sunday at 3:30 p.m. with a GSC match against Spring Hill College in Mobile, Ala.
