PENSACOLA, Fla.– A battle of the top two teams in the Gulf South Conference Volleyball standings did not go the way of the West Alabama Tigers as the West Florida Lady Argonauts claimed a four-set victory Friday night.
UWA falls to 18-8 on the season and 10-3 in the GSC. UWF moves to 20-7 overall and 12-1 in the conference.
The Tigers lost the first set 25-13 but came back and took the second set 25-23. UWA competed and came close in the third and fourth sets, dropping both 25-23 and 25-19, respectively.
Kassie Till collected 37 assists while
Madison Cooler led the team with 15 kills, followed closely by
Taylor Donato with 12. Jamie Lancellot collected 2 blocked shots.
The Tigers are back in action tomorrow taking on Auburn-Montgomery at 1 p.m. in capitol city of Alabama.
