Tigers and Warhawks Battle to Tie

LIVINGSTON, Ala.  – In a physical matchup that featured 36 fouls, the West Alabama Tigers and Auburn-Montgomery Warhawks battled to a 1-1 draw Friday night in Gulf South Conference Men's Soccer action.
 
UWA moves to 4-4-2 on the season and 2-2-1 in the GSC. AUM is now 2-8-1 overall and 1-3-1 in conference.
 
The Warhawks committed 27 fouls in the match compared to just nine for the Tigers. UWA took 28 shots and limited Auburn-Montgomery to just 13 shots.
 
AUM scored first on goal by Asher Gipner at the 16:41 mark with an assist from Tate Dean to put the visitors up 1-0.
 
Plenty of time went by before defender Callum Rai scored on a set piece corner kick assist from Ali Brador to even the contest at 1-1 which served as the final as neither team could score in either overtime session.
