Strong Second Half Leads to 69-53 Win for Tigers over Newberry

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – Shots weren't falling for either team in the first half, but the University of West Alabama men's basketball team came out hot early in the second half and rode the momentum to a 69-53 win over the Newberry College Wolves Friday evening in Pruitt Hall Gymnasium.

However, the Tigers opened the second half on a 16-6 scoring run and eventually pushed the lead to as much as 20 points before settling on a 69-53 win as Newberry got some late points with game already out of reach.
