TIGER GSC HONORS THIS SEASON
LaJuan Hardy, GSC Co-Player of the Week, Dec. 3

NINE NINE
Head coach Allen Sharpe is sitting on 99 wins as the UWA leader and has a chance to hit the century mark this weekend on the road. In Sharpe's tenure, the Tigers are 4-0 against Montevallo and 5-4 in matchups vs. West Florida.

STILL NUMBER ONE
The UWA defense is still the best in NCAA Division II with an average of 57.9 points allowed per contest. The Tigers are one of three teams that has not given up over 1,000 points this season although that will probably change Thursday with West Alabama sitting at 984 total points allowed through 17 games.

THE PROVING GROUNDS
Although Montevallo is now 7-2 in the conference, the quick start in GSC play has been helped by a softer start to the league schedule. The combined winning percentage of conference teams in GSC play UM has defeated up to this point is .302 with the combined win percentage of the teams in the losses is .567.

WHAT BROWN CAN DO FOR UWF
Jon Brown is a dynamic wing player for the Argonauts. The 6-foot-4 native of Helena, Alabama averages 19.9 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. His point total is second in the league. Brown owns the top three scoring performances for UWF this season with 31 points against Spring Hill (Dec. 7) and 25 points each against Lee (Dec. 15) and Shorter (Jan. 16).

THE OPPONENTS
Montevallo's offense averages 70.6 points a game which is ninth the league and the Falcons defense is sixth allowing 69.5 points per contest. West Florida is 12th on offense in the GSC at 65.0 points each night, but the defense is third best in the conference and has allowed 65.6 ppg.
