WEST ALABAMA
The Tigers opened the season 2-0 with a midweek sweep over Gulf South Conference opponent Mississippi College in Pruitt Hall Gymnasium Tuesday and Wednesday. UWA held the Choctaws to 56.5 points per game while breaking in a lineup that featured on one returning player from last year's team. The defensive average is top in the conference.

UNION
The Bulldogs are 4-2 on the season and in conference after serving a two-game sweep on the road over Delta State last weekend in Cleveland, Mississippi. Union crossed the 90-point mark in a 92-79 win on Jan. 8 where JC Hawkins and Tylandrus Parks both went for 19 points each.

ROGER THAT
Roger Davis made the most of his UWA debut as the redshirt junior averaged 17.5 points in the midweek series against MC including 21 points and five assists in the second contest. Davis's 17.5 points per game is tied for the ninth highest average in the conference.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN
The Tigers are playing away from Pruitt Hall for the first time since March 7, 2020 in the semifinals of the GSC Men's Basketball Championship Tournament. COVID-19 protocols have postponed a trip to Delta State earlier this season.

West Alabama will stay on the road and face the University of Alabama in Huntsville Chargers in Huntsville, Alabama for a GSC Series on Jan. 22 at 6 p.m. and Jan. 23 at 3 p.m. in Spragins Hall. Links to video and live stats will be available on uwaathletics.com.
