LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The West Alabama Volleyball team will head east to Clinton, Miss. for a Gulf South Conference rematch with the Mississippi College Choctaws on Tuesday, Oct. 5 at 6 p.m. CT.
The match will be live-streamed on the MC athletic website with live stats from the A. E. Wood Coliseum.
UWA enters the weekend sitting on 0-11 on the season and 0-5 in conference play. After a heartbreaking 3-2 loss to Auburn Montgomery last Friday and a 3-0 loss at West Florida, the Tigers will be searching for its first victory of the season.
MC is 4-6 overall and 2-3 in conference play. The Choctaws are coming off a weekend road split, dropping a 3-0 match at West Florida Friday and defeating AUM 3-2 on Saturday.
It has only been 13 days since the Tigers hosted the Choctaws in Livingston on Sept. 21. West Alabama was able to pick up one set against the MC, with junior outside hitter Nathalia Medeiros leading the charge with 11 kills during the match. The Tigers defense fared better, with MacKenzie Wells tallying a match-high of 21 digs.
Kendall Platt led the MC defense against the Tigers on the road. The junior outside hitter had a match-high 17 kills with 10 digs. Missy Beber led the defense with 14 digs.
