Monday's first game is the 53rd in the series. West Alabama leads the series 35-17. Tigers are 19-6 against MC at Tartt Field. 
 
SIX OF SEVEN
Mississippi College has won six of the last seven meetings in the series. Before the Tigers won, 12-8, on Feb. 13, UWA's last win in the series was April 21, 2018, a 4-3 victory at MC.
 
RECORDS
West Alabama is 1-3. Mississippi College is 0-4. Every game played up to now has been a Gulf South Conference game for both squads.

Results of Monday's doubleheader will not count as GSC games.
 
LAST TIME OUT
Neither team has played since playing each other on Feb. 13, a game that UWA won, 12-8, after jumping to an 11-1 lead and then holding off the Choctaws.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
The doubleheader came about after both UWA and MC lost GSC series over the weekend to weather concerns. West Alabama was set to host Union and Mississippi College was supposed to play Montevallo in Clinton, but neither series was able to be played due to travel complications.
 
9 AND 7
Since the doubleheader will not count toward the GSC standings the Tigers and Choctaws will play a nine and seven inning doubleheader instead of both games being nine innings.
 
WEATHER OUTLOOK
The forecast for game time is sunny with a high of 61. Winds are expected to come from the northwest at 11 miles per hour. It is expected to be 42 and clear with NW winds at 3 mph by the end of the doubleheader.
 
ADMISSION
Admission is free for Tiger baseball in 2021. COVID precautions has attendance limited to 300 mask wearing and socially distanced baseball fans.
