Tiger Baseball Travels to Meet Wolves

WEATHER OUTLOOK
The forecast for Saturday calls for clouds in the morning that will give way to mainly sunny skies for the afternoon with a high around 55 and winds from the ENE at 10 to 15 mph. Sunday's forecast calls for intervals of clouds and sunshine with a high of 61 and winds from the ENE at 5 to 10 mph.
 
RECORDS
West Georgia (7-9, 7-8 GSC) is opening a seven-game homestand. UWA (8-8, 6-7 GSC) begins a four-game road swing with the three-game set against the Wolves. The Tigers are 6-6 in day games and 5-1 when scoring in the first inning, 7-1 when leading after six innings.
 
DOUBLE DIGIT HITS
West Alabama has recorded double digit hits in five games this season and the Tiger pitching staff has allowed double digit hits in just four games.
 
TIGERS ON THE ROAD
West Alabama is 2-4 in road games this season. Both victories came at Delta State in a doubleheader sweep on March 6. Three of the four losses were to open the season (Feb. 6-7) at West Florida. The fourth was the single game of the DSU series on March 7.
 
PROBABLE TIGER STARTERS
LHP Javian Stone (2-2, 3.76) is likely to get the starting nod in game one on Saturday for West Alabama, with RHP Connor Brooks (2-2, 3.86) slated for game two. UWA's game three starter is still to be determined. 
 
MULTIPLE HIT NEMO
Tiger shortstop Jake Nemith leads the ball club with eight multiple hit games, five with two hits and three with three hits. Nemith also has the club's longest hitting streak of the year at 11, although his current streak is two. He has hit in 13 of 16 games this season.
 
PRIDE OF SODDY DAISY
Tiger corner infielder/DH/RHP Gavin Rogers leads the team with four multiple RBI games, including one game with four. Rogers has also reached base in 15 of 16 games this season, but right fielder Brayden Lyman holds the current longest reached base streak at six games.
 
EVEN CATCHERS 
Jonathan Thibodeau and Justin Booker have each started eight games for the Tigers. UWA has a 4-4 record with each receiver.
 
ROAD LEADERS
Connor Brooks sports the best ERA among Tiger starters in road games at 3.00 with a team-leading 12 innings pitched. Gavin Rogers leads UWA hitters with a .438 batting average in six road games with a pair of home runs. Centerfielder Colden Peeples is batting .417 in three road games played.
 
SWINGING BETTER AGAINST LEFTIES
West Alabama is hitting a healthy .347 against left-handed pitching versus .251 against righties.
