LIVINGSTON, Ala. - Two members of the University of West Alabama Women's Soccer team have been named to the GSC Spring Championship Series All-Tournament team for the 2021 season.
"Anele and Paige deserve this recognition as their standards and levels this season have been immense," UWA head coach Graeme Orr said. "Both players had incredible seasons scoring vital goals and executing in a top league."
"As a coach it was a pleasure to work with them, and they both have bright futures ahead," Orr said.
Senior Anele Komani and sophomore Paige Laidler received the honor for the Tigers.
Komani, a midfielder from London, England, has scored four goals and three assists for 11 points. The senior has taken 25 shots and 16 on target with one game winner this season.
Komani has made 60 career appearances for the Tigers and has started in 56 of those matches. She has scored 24 goals for UWA along with adding 16 assists with seven game winners.Â
Laidler, a midfielder from Windsor, England, has scored three goals and passed one assist for seven points. The sophomore has taken nine shots and eight on target with one game winner this season.
Laidler came to West Alabama in 2019 and has made 24 career appearances for the Tigers and has started in all 24 of those matches.Â
