Women’s Soccer Adds 13 Student-Athletes to the 2021 Fall Roster

LIVINGSTON, Ala. - West Alabama head women's soccer coach Graeme Orr welcomes 13 student-athletes to the 2021 fall roster.

"We are so excited about this upcoming fall and excited about the 13 new girls coming in," Orr said. "They will add a lot of depth to our team."

Orr and his staff secured signatures from nine offensive players; two forwards and seven midfielders. UWA signed four defensive players; three being defenders and one goalie.

"We also added a few transfers to the 2021 roster," Orr said. "It is always good bringing in that kind of experience and competition. We can't wait to get to work this upcoming fall."

Anna Dickov
A native of Livingston, Scotland, Dickov came to UWA as a freshman. The forward is a transfer from Stirling University located in Scotland.  


Kya Davis
A native of Southhaven, Mississippi, Davis came to UWA as a junior. The defender is a transfer from Jacksonville State.

Prior to JSU, Davis spent two seasons at Holmes Community College in Goodman, Mississippi. She started in 33 games during her time as a Bulldog. Davis was named Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges All-State in 2018 and 2019. She was also a member of the MACJC All-Star Team in 2019. As a sophomore, she contributed five assists and posted 10 shots. Davis helped the Bulldogs to the program's first state title and regional crown in 2019. 


Sierra O'Grady
O'Grady, a Toronto, Canada native, comes to UWA as a freshman. The midfielder attended St. Mary Catholic Secondary located in Hamilton, Ontario.


Rachel Soto
A midfielder from Redondo Beach, California comes to West Alabama as a freshman. Soto graduated from Redondo Union High School.


Amy Denholm
From Penicuik, Scotland, Denholm came to UWA as a freshman. The defender graduated from Beeslack Community High School.

 


Dana Cruz
A freshman from Fort Walton Beach, Florida, comes to UWA as a freshman. The midfielder graduated from Fort Walton Beach High School. 


Amelia Vazquez
A Parrish, Florida native, Vazquez comes in as a freshman forward for West Alabama. Vazquez graduated from Braden River High School.


Sophie Roberts
Roberts, a midfielder from Swindon, England, transfers from Meridian Community College to UWA. Roberts will be entering her junior year come the fall.

While at MCC, Roberts played in all 21 games and started in 19 of them. The midfielder had a total of seven goals and four assists. 


Dior Wilson
A Toronto, Canada native, Wilson joins the team as a freshman goalie. Wilson graduated from Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School located in Brampton, Ontario.


Laila Hepworth
A midfielder from Whitstable, England, comes to UWA as a freshman, graduating from Dhahran British Grammar School located in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.


Ainzlee Kauffman
A native from Gardendale, Alabama, Kauffman joins the UWA soccer team as a defender. The upcoming freshman graduated from Gardendale High School.


Kaylee Rivas
Rivas is from Trussville, Alabama, and will be coming in as a freshman. The midfielder graduated from Hewitt-Trussville High School.


Elena Eastwood
The midfielder from Raymore, Missouri, joins the roster and is coming in as a freshman. Eastwood graduated from Raymore-Peculiar High School. 

 


"We are looking forward to getting back to what a normal season looks like for us and that is playing two games a week, Friday and Sunday," Orr said.
