Komani Named Jack’s Player of the Week

LIVINGSTON, Ala. - Standout senior Anele Komani was named Jack's Player of the Week, announced Monday, after leading the West Alabama women's soccer team to a 3-1 victory over Spring Hill Friday, Sept. 17 at Sage Park in Mobile.

The London, England native scored two goals against the Badgers. The first goal came in the first 48 seconds of the match. 

The second goal Komani scored in the match came six seconds after her teammate, Dana Cruz scored. These back-to-back goals were both recorded in the 9th minute.

Komani took six shots with all being on frame in her 90 minutes of action. 

UWA returns to Tiger Stadium Saturday, Sept. 25, when they host Alabama Huntsville in a non-conference matchup. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m.
