Baseball Releases 2022 Schedule

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The West Alabama baseball team will face another loaded schedule in 2022, featuring 31 games at Tartt Field and 20 games on the road for a 51-game season that kicks off on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2022.

The full live stream and broadcast information will be released on the West Alabama baseball team schedule page in the coming weeks, but all home games will be broadcast on SLY104.9 with the live stream on YouTube and live stats on the athletic website.

The season will also include major improvements to Tartt Field. The most prominent feature is the Campora Hospitality Facility available for lease. For more information and to reserve your suite, visit the www.uwa.edu/suites.

The Tigers open the season with a four-game homestand, beginning with a single game against Arkansas – Monticello. UWA will then host Columbus State for a three-game series set for Feb. 4-6.

West Alabama will meet UAM again on Feb. 8 to open road competition in Monticello, Ark. The single-game match-up is set to begin at 2 p.m. at Weevils Field.

The Tigers will go up against several non-conference opponents in the following weeks, including Emmanuel College, Carson-Newman University, Miles College, Spring Hill, Young Harris, Tuskegee. William Carey.

On Feb. 11-13, the Tigers will host Emmanuel College and Carson-Newman in a five-game tournament before heading to Fairfield, Ala., to take on Miles on Feb. 16.

UWA will host Mississippi College to open its 30-game 2022 GSC schedule Feb. 18-19 for a three-game series and conclude with a road series at Alabama – Huntsville April 29-30.

In between conference games, the Tigers will host Spring Hill in a single game on Feb. 23 before seeing Badgers on the road on Mar. 23.

West Alabama will host Young Harris in a three-game series on Feb. 26-27 and Tuskegee in a single game on Mar. 9.

The Tigers final single-game competitions will be at William Carey on Apr. 16 and against Miles College on Apr. 27.

Conference opponent highlights include an April 23-24 three-game series against Delta State at home. The Statesman finished the 2021 season ranked 25th nationally.

The Tigers are entering their 21st season under head coach Gary Rundles and have won 619 games during his tenure, including a 42-win season in 2015.
